Designed to visually connect the central fountain with the northwest part of the Botanical Garden, the Axis Lawn is a pleasant place to sit on a bench or sprawl on the grass, depending on your mood. It is bounded by the New Zealand Garden to the east and the Garden of Perennials to the west.
