A paradise for sparrows, the Demonstration Garden comprises several quiet, semi-enclosed, shady places to sit on a bench and observe the non-native varieties of shrubs, trees, container plants, and perennials. In addition to sparrows, California Quail, Towhees, and Downy Woodpeckers also frequent this lovely and relatively untravelled corner of the Botanical Garden.
